I’m a sucker for massive photo mosaic projects, especially when world records are involved. My most recent discovery is no small feat: British artist Quentin Devine teamed up with The Pokémon Company International to set the new Guinness World Record for largest trading card mosaic in honor of Pokémon’s 20th anniversary!
The newest thing to hit the photo mosaic world are video (or animation) mosaics. You may have see them on TV comercials and movie trailers. The High Definition standard (1920×1080 pixels) has allowed clarity and resoltuion that allows video mosaics to live up to their full potential (compared to standard def).
Finding good examples of them on the web is tough, but thanks to YouTube, I have found some great examples:
